Dr. Jassim, Medical Director for our Rapid City Reference Laboratory, received his M.D. at the University of Mosul, Iraq and his Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. His Internship and Residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Surgical Pathology Fellowship, Medical Oncology Fellowship, Ph.D. in Experimental Oncology (Pathobiology) were all at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
He is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Jassim also is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists and the American Society of Clinic Pathologists; a member of the American Society of Cytology; and Associate Professor of Laboratory Medicine at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. Of special interest to Dr. Jassim are Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology, Dermatopathology, Tumor Pathology, and Molecular Diagnostics.
Dr. Jassim is active in the region as a consulting pathologist and is available for consultative support to Sanford Laboratories clients. He joined LCM Pathologists, P.C. in 1992.
